Lela Mae Couch, 69, passed away on July 6, 2023. She was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico, on January 12, 1954, to Aubrey and Lela Kerley. Lela was with Fred Massingill for over 30 years before he passed away on July 7, 2021.
The thing that Lela was most passionate about was her rescue animals. She rescued animals of all different kinds or breeds. If you knew her, you knew all her current animals too. She also really enjoyed crafting.
Lela is survived by her daughters, Miranda Jensen, and husband James, and Michelle Eddleman, her five grandchildren, Cody Eddleman, and wife Chelsea, Morgan Casey, and husband Blayne, Kyle Jense, Luke Jensen, and Seth Poe, her three great grandchildren, Michael Eddleman, Reed Eddleman, and Drew Casey, her sister Vickie Kerley, numerous nieces and nephews, and her three dogs, Samantha, Pops, and Sugar. She was preceded in death by her long time significant other Fred Massingill, her twin sister, Letha Welch, her sister, Carolyn Rich, her brother EC Whitehead Jr., and her parents.
