Linda Bledsoe Obituary

Services for Linda Gaye Bledsoe, 76, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at the Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ed Dittfurth officiating. Burial will follow at Green Leaf Cemetery in Brownwood, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M.- 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at Lacy Funeral Home.

Linda was born in Cleburne, Texas, on November 28, 1945, to Frank and Virginia (Knight) Shelton. She married Ray Von Bledsoe on December 31, 1976, in Brownwood, Texas.

Linda graduated from Brownwood High School where she competed in tennis, and was on the drill team for all 4 years, and was the captain of the drill team for 2 years. She graduated from college at Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas. She was a teacher at Woodland Heights Elementary School in Brownwood, Texas. Linda began and worked at the food pantry at the Word of Faith Church in Brownwood, Texas. She also worked at a dentist office in Temple, Texas. After she moved to Stephenville, Texas, she was a full-time wife and mother. She home schooled her daughter Kayli and organized a home school group for field trips and social skills. Linda was a member of Cornerstone Church, where she also led a prayer group in her home.

Linda is survived by her husband of 46 years, Ray Von Bledsoe; 1 daughter, Kayli Bledsoe; 2 stepchildren, Stacy Bledsoe and husband Gilbert Delgado of Brownwood, Texas, and Shane Bledsoe and wife Kimberly of McGregor, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Leah Martinez, and Lanea Martinez of Abilene, Texas, William “Logan” Bledsoe, and Alicia Lara; 1 sibling, Glenda McKee and husband Alex of Graford, Texas; brother-in-law, Gary Bledsoe; nephew, Marcus McKee; and niece, Krista (McKee) Thomas and husband Scott Thomas of Graford, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents.
