Obituary
Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday May 30th at 2PM at Bond Auditorium at the Stephenville ISD Administration building. The family will recieve visitors following the memorial.
Linda Carol Snelson Brown was born in Fort Worth, Texas on April 13th, 1952.
She was the daughter of Jerry and Louise LaMont. She died May 22nd, 2023, at 71 years of age. She was a beloved mother, Nana, and educator.
Linda graduated from Diamond Hill Jarvis High School in 1970. She then journeyed on to many colleges, where education soon became her passion. She studied theater at The University of Houston and Southwest Texas College, studied History at Tarrant County Community College, and government at Tarleton State University. All of which led her to impact students for 36 years while teaching at Stephenville High School, Tarleton State University, and Huston Academy. She made connections to thousands of students over the years, and to know her was to love her. She was a lifelong member of St. Luke’s Episcipol Church in Stephenville, Texas.
Linda is survived by her son, Michael Shane and Stephanie Brown of Hico, her daughter Lisa and Cameron Fergason of Stephenville. Grandchildren, Tyelir Brown, Cailey Brown, Austin Brown, Kynzie Brown, Adisyn Brown, Baylor Brown, Cooper Fergason and Crew Fergason. Sister Joyce LaMont, and nieces Serena Wright, Brittany Williams, Chelsea Daws, and nephew Seth Williams.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Jerry and Louise LaMont, sister Paula Griggs, and nephew Matthew Decker.
In lieu of flowers, Linda was passionate about Erath County Humane Society and Project 22. She would be blessed for any donations made in her honor.
