Louis Richardson

Louis Richardson, 82, passed peacefully on June 17, 2020. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM -7:00PM, Friday, June 19, 2020 at Lacy Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 10:00AM, Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery in Millsap, TX with Rev. Werth Mayes officiating.

 Louis was born in Brownwood, TX on March 14, 1938 to August and Lois (Burleson) Richardson. He married Glenda Ferguson on August 14, 1989 in Abilene, TX. He was a barber in Cross Plains for 20 years. He owned and operated Red Top Sales and Service for 15 years. 

 Louis had been a member of First Baptist Church of Cross Plains. He was a proud member of the Stephenville Masonic Lodge #257 for more than 50 years. Louis loved spending time spoiling his grandchildren, fishing, hunting, and watching rodeo.

 Louis is survived by his wife, Glenda Richardson; daughter, Jill (Richardson) Betts, and husband, Lenley, of Round Rock, TX, step daughter, Tami Brown, and husband Stephen, of Roswell, GA; grandchildren, Brooke Kammer, Zachary Betts, Katelyn Balkum, Tyler Brown, and Trenton Brown; great granddaughter, Addison Brown; sister, Mildred Jean James, and husband, Clayburn, of Haltom City, TX. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dana (Richardson) Balkum on June 10, 2017.

He is also survived by his special dog, Bear.
