Lyle "Pete" Joseph Banks

Services for Lyle “Pete” Joseph Banks, 90, will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 20, 2025, at the Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jonathan Coleman officiating. Burial will follow at the Hannibal Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Lacy Funeral Home.

Pete was born in Rushville, Nebraska, to Elsie Marie Alt and William James Banks. He married Retha Gayle Andrews on June 29, 1963. She preceded him in death on February 8, 2021.

Pete was a member of the Oak Dale United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran. As well, he was a Los Angeles police officer. Later in life, Pete became a Stephenville school bus driver. He enjoyed traveling, but most importantly, Pete loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his daughters, Cindy Anderson and husband, Randal, and Marci Reeder and husband, Joe; his son James Banks and wife, Lisa; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 10 great great-grandchildren.
