Maria Torres Cole

A memorial service for Maria Torres Cole, 69, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Lacy Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Moises Cruz officiating. A visitation will be held at Lacy Funeral Home chapel on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. She passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024, in Hillsboro, Texas.

Maria was born in Mexico, on January 5, 1955, to Antonio Guadalupe Torres and Maria De La Luz Ibarra. She married Clifford Cole on July 8, 2005, in Rio Hondo, Texas.

Maria had a servant’s heart working as a caretaker. More than anything she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Maria is survived by her husband, Cliff Cole of Whitney, Texas; children, Melanie Cruz Cole of Whitney, Texas, Juan Lopez of Harlingen, Texas, Seniada Conde of Florida, Cerjio Lopez of Harlingen, Texas, Victoria Lopez of Harlingen, Texas, Samuel Lopez of California, Juan Contreras of Brownsville, Texas, Oscar Zuniga of Lubbock, Texas, Theresa Benny of Tennessee, and Scott Cole of Kentucky; 19 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and sister, Estella Gonzalez of Leveland, Texas.

Maria is preceded in death by her Parents, Antonio Guadalupe Torres and Maria De La Luz Ibarra; two children, Eric Lopez and Julian Lopez; and sisters, Maria Concepcion Olvera and Maria De Los Angeles Guajardo.
