Mary Grace Perry

Mary Grace Perry went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 15, 2021. Visitation will be prior to the funeral service on Monday, July 19, 2021, at Valley Grove Baptist Church, from 2:00 P.M.- 3:00 P.M. Funeral services will be Monday, July 19, 2021, at 3:00 P.M. at Valley Grove Baptist Church in Stephenville, Texas. Interment will be in Live Oak Cemetery in Dublin, Texas.

“Grace” was born September 26, 1930, in Proctor, Texas, the 10th youngest child of Walter Gray and Jessie Patterson Gray. She was a graduate of Comyn High School and married Wilbur Perry on May 18, 1950, in Comanche, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Grady “Bus” Perry, one son, Bobby Gregg Perry, her parents, Walter and Jessie Gray, 5 brothers, Jake Gray, Lloyd Gray, Eldon Gray, Wayne Gray, Harry Gray, and 4 sisters, Leona McQuary, Ola Whitehead, Pauline Stanley, and Jessie Little. She is survived by a son, Jim Perry and wife Anita, a daughter, Dee Dreyer and husband Wayne, 5 grandchildren, Allison Kelley, Jeff Perry, Jennifer Baille, Shayla Perry, Samantha Perry, 7 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Grace was a homemaker and worked for JC Penney for many years. She taught her children to have character, integrity, and work ethic, and lead all three of them to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. She was active in her church, had a beautiful singing voice, and was known for her gardening skills.

In lieu of flowers, she asked that donations be made to the Valley Grove Baptist Church Playground Fund.

The family would like to thank Solaris Hospice, Good Tree Assisted Living, and special friend, Sheryl Wells for their kind and loving care at the end of her life.
