Mary Francis (Dillon) Miertschin

Stephenville – Graveside Services for Mary Francis Miertschin, 88, BSN in Nursey and Neonatal Intensive Care, will be held at 10am Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at West End Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9-10 am. Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Lacy Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.

Mary was born in Fort Worth, Texas on May 15, 1937, to Arthur Earl Dillon and Marion Humphrey Drane. She married Dr. Melvin Albert Miertschin on August 8, 1959, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Mary was Lutheran by faith. She was an active member of the community and participated in the Assistance League, 4H, PTA and Den mother for the Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Campfire girls. She specialized in Nursery and Neonatal Intensive Care. When Mary moved back to Texas she worked as a Home Healthcare Nurse in Stephenville, Texas. Mary enjoyed gardening, fishing, and cooking, but most importantly Mary enjoyed spending time with her beloved family.

Survivors include  ;Children: Debra Miertschin and husband Lonnie Bennett of Dublin, Texas,  David Miertschin and wife Lauren of  Dana Point, California and Patricia Gilbert and husband Kevin of Nixa ,Missouri; Grandchildren: Chance Zimmerman, Justus Miertschin, Darius Miertschin, Lucas Miertschin, Sean Gilbert and wife Allison, and  Danielle Gilbert; Great grandchildren Addisen Zimmerman.
