Mary Virginia Strickland

Mary Virgina Strickland, 72, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, in Stephenville, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the Lacy Funeral Home Chapel.

Mary was born in Denton, Texas, on February 4, 1952, to her parents Hubert Rae Strickland and Mary Ethel (Taylor) Strickland. Mary had a Doctorate degree, and was a director for Ft. Stockton and Dallas, TX 4-H extension offices. She was a member of a Methodist church. Quilting was one of her passions, and she also loved to read and visit with her friends.

Survivors include her sisters, Valerie Birdwell and husband Guy in Georgetown, TX, and Cynthia Stephens and husband VW in Stephenville, TX; Nephews, V. Stephens, Jason Stephens, and James Ryan; Nieces, Lisa Staley and husband James, Alyssa Flatt and husband Caleb, and Linda Stephens and wife Trish.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Mary Strickland.
