Melanyne Diane Dixon

It is with great sadness that the family of Melanye Dixon announce her passing on October 27, 2019, at the age of 68 years old.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 9th at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, 277-541 Farm to Market 1188, Bluff Dale, TX 76433.

Melanye Dixon aka Mellie or Mel Brown was born in Fort Worth, TX, to Bill Brown and Marjorie Ivey Brown on September 11, 1951. She went to school in Stephenville, TX, and was VERY proud of her Stephenville roots. Melanye later moved to Watauga, TX, to raise her family and eventually retired as a Barber. She spent the last few years of her life in Decatur, TX, in her new home, nestled in the wooded countryside with her beloved family and pets. She passed away peacefully on Sunday in the comfort of her home surrounded by love, as she had always wished for.

Melanye is preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Dixon of Watauga, TX, and father, Bill Brown.

Melanye is survived by and, lovingly remembered by her daughters, Georgianna Stone of Haslet, TX, and Kristen Walker-Leclaire of Decatur, TX; son-in-law, Tony LeClaire; brothers, Billy Brown and David Brown; mother, Marjorie Brown; grandchildren, Emma Stone, Grant Walker, Jessica Eller-Wall; grandson-in-law, Tyler (the Prince) Wall; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
