Stephenville - Services for Michael Richard Mason, 68, registered nurse, who died on Saturday, February 5, 2022, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Lacy Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Erath Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Lacy Funeral Home.

Michael Richard Mason was born in Sonyea, New York on April 9, 1953, to Richard and Rita (Rose) Mason. Michael was a compassionate person that found his niche in his career as a RN. He never met a stranger, and was always there to offer a hand up to those in need. He was a loving son, brother, father, and grandfather, and held deep Christian values. Those that knew Michael knew that once they were acquainted , they were friends for life. His wit and sense of humor were infectious and he was always quick with a smile. Michael was a talented guitarist and clock builder. He enjoyed reading and watching old films. He was a beautiful brother, son, and father.

He was preceded in death by his father Richard Mason.

Survivors include his mother Rita Mason of Stephenville, Texas life partner Bessie Ferguson of Stephenville, Texas; children Ashley Vera of Waco, Texas, Amber Kelly Mason of Stephenville, Texas, Mickey Mason of Fort Worth, Texas and Jessica Mason of Stephenville, Texas; grandchildren Emily, Linda, Phillip, Alessa, Hannah, Christian, Olivia, and Claira; great-grandson Mark McCommas of Waco, Texas; brother Kelly Mason and wife Roy Lynne of Pennsylvania; sister Julie Outlaw and her fiancé Chet Grissom, of Stephenville, Texas; niece and nephew Chris and Sarah Mason.
