Michael Lee “Mike” Hill, Sr.

 September 8, 1949– December 6, 2023

Services for Michael Lee “Mike” Hill. Sr., age 74, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at St. Brendans Catholic Church with Father Matthew officiating. Interment will follow at West End cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, December 11, 2023, with a rosary led by Mike Coggins to follow at 6 p.m. at Lacy Funeral Home.

Mike was born in Houston, Texas, on September 8, 1949, to John B. Hill and Ann LaPerna.  He married Carolyn Keys on June 20, 1969, in Clute, Texas. He was a mechanical engineer.

Mike was a member of St. Brendan Catholic Church and the Knights of Colombus in Stephenville, Texas. He enjoyed spending time outdoors while hunting and fishing. Mike also enjoyed strumming and playing his guitar. Most of all, he valued and enjoyed spending time with his family and his church family.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Hill of Stephenville; children, Michael L. Hill, Jr. of San Angelo; Jeanna N. DeViney & husband, Steven of Granbury; grandchildren, Cameron Hill; Joy Hill; Baylie DeViney Turney and husband, Chance; Brett DeViney; and Luke DeViney; siblings, John Hill & wife, Carolyn of Austin; Mary Ann Ware & husband, Peter of Tampa Bay, FL.; Richard Hill & wife, Marla of Cedar Park; and Russell Hill & wife, Lisa of Houston.

Preceded in death by sister, Janet Eckhart.
