Opal Pauline (Cooper) Taylor

Services for Opal (Cooper) Taylor, 94, of Stephenville will be held Friday, June 25, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at the Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Werth Mayes officiating. Burial will follow at Erath County Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 6:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M. at Lacy Funeral Home. 

Opal was born August 5, 1926 in West Liberty, Kentucky to Sam and Myrtle Cooper. She grew up in West Liberty, KY and later moved to Moscow, ID where she met her late husband Elyson. She lived most of her adult life in Stephenville before moving to Midland, TX where she worked for and retired from Texas Instruments before moving back to Stephenville.

Opal is survived by her daughter Debbie Henslee and husband Gene of Granbury, TX; grandsons JW Watson and wife Annie of Belton, TX, Chad Taylor and wife Kristi of Fort Worth, TX, and Lowell (Flipper) Taylor and wife Tiffany of Stephenville; great grandchildren Niketa, Nicolas, Madison, Kayla, Jake, Amy, Rowdy, Hatlee, Kason, Kyler, Taryn, and Talon and 1 great great granddaughter Everlee.

Opal was preceded in death by her husband Elyson Bell Taylor, Jr, son Elyson Bell (Bo) Taylor III, daughter Sharon Watson, daughter Linda, grandson Elyson Bell (little Bo) Taylor IV, both parents and 4 brothers.

She will be missed by all who knew her.
