Patricia Mary McDowell

Patricia Mary McDowell passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 86. Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.

Patricia was born in Singapore on March 17, 1938, to parents, Paul Caufield-James and Nilda Blanche (Ogle) Caulfield- James. She married Kenneth McDowell in May of 2002, in Stephenville, Texas. He preceded her in death on July 31, 2024.

Patricia was a Catholic. She worked as an administrative assistant for the library at Tarleton State University where she was also a member of the Phi Mu. Patricia loved music and shared that love with others as a beautifully talented pianist. Patricia had a fun-loving spirit. She was known to take many trips to WinStar to try her luck at gambling. Patricia liked to play bridge, enjoyed gardening, and had a true love for horses. Most of all, she loved spending time making memories with her family. Patricia will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Survivors include her children, Wendy Cockerell and husband, Buster of Dublin, Texas, Penny Cosper and husband, Bruce of Midlothian, Texas, and Laura Salcedo and husband, John of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, John Paul Cockerell, Matthew Cockerell, Justin Cockerell, Amie Cockerell and spouse, Mindy Mathis, Casey Galliton and husband, Mat, Bekah Foy and husband, Logan, Rachel Bartlett, and Katherine Salcedo; great-grandchildren, Hudsyn Cockerell, Ryker Cockerell, and Anderson Foy; and ten beloved nieces and nephews.
