Services for Patricia Anne Wade, 87, retired teacher, of Pecos, Texas, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2024, at North Temple Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2024, at North Temple Baptist Church. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home, Stephenville, Texas.
Patricia was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, on August 8, 1936, to Urban L. Young and Grace Lillian (Johnson) Young. She married James Clifton Wade on July 24, 1956, in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on November 22, 2009.
She was a member of the North Temple Baptist Church in Pecos, Texas. Patricia loved her family and her church family. She was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include her son, David Wade of San Elizario, Texas; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Wade of Pecos, Texas; grandchildren, Shayne Lee Thomas and wife, Rosa, Casey James Wade and wife, April, Aimee Lawrence and husband, Travis, and Christopher Lee Thomas and wife, Sigrid; Rebecca Welling; several great-grandchildren; her sisters, Bana Armstrong of Pecos, Texas, and Shirley Johnson of Berea, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Mary Wade; and brother-in-law, Paul Leaman Wade and wife, Sarah.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Clifton Wade; three sons, Jamie Lynn Wade, Wayne Lee Thomas, and Steven Thomas; brother, Joey Young; and sister, Betty (Ritter) Curtin.
