Peggy Lou Greiner

Peggy Lou Greiner passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, in Bedford, Texas, at the age of 69. Her wishes were to be cremated and services handled privately. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.

Peggy was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan, on September 27, 1954, to parents Edward O’Neal Perdew and Mavis Virginia (Tarbutton) Perdew. She married John Greiner on October 22, 1977, in Blue Ridge, Texas.

Peggy attended the Assembly of God church. She had a true servant’s heart, serving others as a nurses aid for many years. Peggy also prided herself in making a happy home filled with love and good memories for her family. Oftentimes Peggy could be found playing cards and dominoes with her family and friends, teaching her grandchildren all the tricks to win. She was also a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys.

Survivors include her husband, John Greiner of Saginaw, Texas; children, Carey Shelton of Fort Worth, Texas, Laura Jackson and husband, Donald of Killeen, Texas, Virginia Moody and husband, Dusty of Portland, Oregon, and John Greiner and wife, Shelby Scroggin of Fort Worth, Texas; eleven grandchildren; sister, Ann Roberts of Saginaw, Texas; and uncle, Roy Tarbutton.

Preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Andy and Robert; and two sisters, Tina and Nita.
