Peggy June Kenny

  Peggy June Kenny passed away peacefully in Stephenville, Texas, on March 21, 2026, at the age of 92.

  Peggy was born on September 21, 1933, in Shamrock, Texas, to Walter and Rachel Cadenhead. A woman of quiet faith and simple joys, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Peggy found great peace in the pages of a good book, the challenge of puzzles, and the constant, loyal companionship of her dog, Chula. Her greatest happiness came from the time spent with her family.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Rachel Cadenhead; her husband of 47 years, Raymond Lee Kenny; and her brother, Macneal Cadenhead.

  Peggy’s memory will be cherished by her surviving stepchildren: Mark Kenny, Sara Kenny Willis, and husband Bill, and Martha Kenny Marks. She is also survived by the children of Sara: Jordan and Leigh, and Martha's children: Curry and Hannah. Additionally, she is survived by her sisters-in-law, Mary Jo Kenny, Sue Weathers, and husband Dale, Shirley Kenny, and Nadra Cadenhead. Also surviving are her three nephews, John, Scott, and David Cadenhead, along with many friends within the Stephenville community.
