Randal “Randy” Lee Rau

October 12, 1956 – July 31, 2026

Stephenville, Texas - Services for Randal Rau, 69, will be held at 9:30 am. Friday, August 14, 2026, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211 with Military Honors. Arrangements are under the direction of Lacy Funeral Home.   A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 p.m. at the Mansfield American Legion, 2951 FM 917, Mansfield, TX 76063

Randal (Randy) Lee Rau died on July 31, 2026, in Texas after an extended illness.

Randy, a lifelong University of Oklahoma Sooners fan, spent his childhood in Clinton, Oklahoma before moving to Arlington, Texas as a teen.  Randy served in the United States Army after graduating from Arlington High School.

Randy had a lively spirit and never met a stranger. His life was marked with a sense of confidence and adventure. His path through life was unconventional and he certainly left his mark on the world. Everyone who met Randy, even for a brief time, left with an incredible story.

Randy is survived by his beloved children Taylor Rau of Madison Wisconsin and Jake Rau of Madison Wisconsin, his doted upon granddaughters Adelyn Sonday, Haley Sonday, Raya Rau. He is also remembered by his siblings, nieces, nephews and many friends
