Richard L Pinckard was born to Roswell Leon Pinckard and Mary Elma (Rhodd) Pinckard on April 23, 1939, in Fortuna, California. He Married Margaret Sani. She proceeded him in death on July 3, 2008.

Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family.

Survivors include his grandchildren; Harley Pinckard of De Leon, Texas, Angelina Hankins and husband Justin of Kerrville, Texas, Sierra Pankey of Cloverdale, California, Shylo Pankey and wife Casey of Stephenville, Texas, Taz Pankey and wife Samantha of Stephenville, Texas, Autum Pankey-Ramos and husband Adolfo of Cloverdale, California, Christopher Pinckard of Carson City, Nevada, Jesse Pinckard and wife Kylie of Clear Lake, California. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson: sister Joyce Russell of Lake County, California.

He is preceded in death by Richard Pinckard, Jr. and Mary Pankey.
