Richard Winfrey Scott

Services for Richard Winfrey Scott, 63, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday November 4, 2022, at Lacy Funeral Home with Rev. Weldon Branham officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M. Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Lacy Funeral Home.

Richard was born in Fort Worth, Texas on April 15, 1959, and at the age of 2 he was adopted by Wendol and Martha (Talley) Scott. He married the love of his life, Jennie Sweatman on August 21, 1981, in Fort Worth, Texas. They moved to Stephenville in 1998 and he went to work for FMC for the next 17 years and then he went to Buckhorn Pumps where he enjoyed the remainder of his career.

Richard enjoyed the great blessings of hunting, fishing, camping, golfing and spending time with his family and watching his sweet “hound dog” play sports.

Richard is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jennie Scott; 2 children, Richard “Richie” Scott of Fort Worth, Texas, Angela Sparks of Stephenville, Texas; a grandson, Wyatt Sparks; siblings, Randy and Glenda Scott of North Richland Hills, Texas, Lynda Scott of Haltom City, Texas, Leza Scott of Haltom City, Texas, Rheannon Scott of Stephenville, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Richard was preceded in death by his father, Wendol Scott, and a granddaughter, Rylee Scott.
