Sorry to hear of Roy passing. He was the TI officer I worked for at NOTU. We worked numerous submarines together including British FBMs. He and June were good friends of my family. He gave our family a tour of the Tirante while we were visiting Key West.

It is the end of an era. All of Mama and Papa Ator's "boys" are gone I met Roy when Joe took me to the farm for the first time to meet his parents. Roy was young and the only child left at home He has led a long and productive life and will be missed, My condolences to Richard, Ronald, Robin and your families.

I only knew Roy from Facebook, but we had several wonderful conversations over the years. He was an FTG and I was and FTG. He was on submarines and I was on submarines. Great loss for myself and many, my sympathy goes to his family. I will pray for him and his family and friends.

Dear Robin and Family,

It is never easy to let a Mom or Dad go....it is never easy no matter the words...The
one thing that is easy is to know that Roy will be with his beloved wife in Heaven.

My condolences to Robin and other members of family of Lt. Ator. Please accept my deepest sympathies. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family in this time of loss and I hope peace, strength and comfort surround you as you walk through this trying time.

In his time on this earth, Roy obviously touch the lives of many. Maya Angelo said it his way, and I would believe it's appropriate as it pertains to Roy's life. “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

So, as Roy breaks through the barrier of this earth and enter into his life everlasting, may he rest in peace in the arms of the Almighty.
