Ruben Martinez, Sr.

Ruben Martinez, Sr., 66, of Stephenville, Texas passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Ruben was born on December 21, 1958, in El Paso, Texas, to Petra Herrera Martinez and Juan Martinez, Sr.  He was a United States Army Veteran.  Ruben loved his large family and would often go on trips to visit with them as much as he could.  He loved to provide gifts & jokes to his brothers & sisters and niece, Rose, & nephew, Simon. In addition, he helped take care of his great nephews, Henry & Nicolae.  Ruben enjoyed taking them ice skating and just being around them as he loved them and they loved him as well.  He had a big heart and will be missed greatly.  Services for Ruben Martinez Sr, 66, will be held on February 19, 2026, 1:15 p.m., at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. 

Arrangements were entrusted to Lacy Funeral Home of Stephenville, Texas.

Survivors include his children, Ruben Martinez, Jr., and Jennifer Irene Miranda; his sisters, Irene Kelly, Beatriz and her husband, Dennis, and Juliana Lucas; his brothers, Johnny Martinez and wife, Carmen, of El Paso, Texas, and Tommy Martinez of Albuquerque, New Mexico; his nieces and nephews, Liane, Armando, Isela, Julia, Mirna, Patricia, Anabel, Fernando, Jessica, Justen, Jonathan, Michelle, Cynthia, Ernestina, Daniel, Robert, Ursula, Jenny, Sarah, Simon, & Rose; and his great-nieces and nephews who he adored.
