Ruby Nell (Dunn) Hedge

A Graveside service for Ruby Nell (Dunn) Hedge, 95, will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Exray Cemetery with Rev. Weldon Branham officiating.

Ruby Nell (Dunn) Hedge was born May 25, 1926, to David and Ida Dunn. She was the 10th child of 15 brothers and sisters.

Ruby married Elmer Raymond Hedge, Jr. on January 15, 1947. They were married for 59 years. They had two daughters, Vicki and Sharon.

Ruby spent a number of years working as a secretary but her main happiness in life was being a mother and grandmother. They lived and raised their family in Ft. Worth and spent their retirement years living in Huckabay, Texas. She was called “Ma” by this time in her life. Her biggest joy was watching her three grandchildren grow up.

Ruby was one of the kindest souls on earth. She loved her family and there was nothing she would not do for them. Whatever dream you dreamed, she would try and make it a reality.

Ruby lived the last six years at Good Tree Assisted Living. She was cared for and loved by the memory care staff. She was also assisted in life by Solaris Hospice, to whom her family is deeply grateful. Ruby left this life on October 24, 2021, and will be forever missed by her family.

Ruby is survived by two daughters and sons in law, Vicki and Bill Lambert of Stephenville, Texas, and Sharon and Tony Evans of Granbury, Texas; three grandchildren, Bill Lambert, Jr., Jeff Lambert, and Amy Crissey; and fifteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Raymond Hedge, Jr.
