Sterling Alexander "Xander" Levy

A celebration of life for Sterling Alexander “Xander” Levy will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at 7 p.m. at the downtown pavilion in New Boston, Texas. His funeral service will follow on Monday, September 30, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Lacy Funeral Home, in Stephenville, Texas. Xander passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024, in New Boston, Texas, at the age of 23. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.

Xander was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on May 3, 2001, to Larry Levy and Becky (Townsend) Ballenger. Xander proudly served in the Army Reserve. He was a student at Northeast Texas Community College, studying the Carroll Shelby Automotive Program.

Xander had a passion for cars, especially Mustangs and hotrods of all kinds. He was a country boy at heart, and had a love and appreciation for cows. In his spare time, Xander could also be found having fun playing video games and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his mother, Becky Ballenger and husband, Brad of DeLeon, Texas; father, Larry Levy and wife, Rene Batson of New Boston, Texas; paternal grandfather, Don Levy of Arkansas; paternal grandmother, Millie Peel of Arkansas; fiancé, Elese Dunn-Levy of Gilmer, Texas; maternal great-grandfather, Bobby Schuman of DeLeon, Texas; siblings, Larry Levy, Jr., Matthew Levy, Justin Ballenger, Madilynn Ballenger, Linsey Williams, and Alexis Jefferson, Robert “Bo” Batson and wife, Paige, Amanda Batson, and Nick Batson and wife, Jessie; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
