Susan was born in Lubbock, Texas on August 12, 1973, to Delbert and Peggy (Boswell) Byford. She married Jimmy Dale Cedillo in 1993 in Fort Worth, Texas. He preceded her in death on October 3, 2006.

Susan is survived by her children, Jocelynn Rose-Mary Cedillo, and Lillie Rose Cedillo, both of Gunbarrel, Texas; 3 grandchildren, Emilia Evette Cedillo, Maliah Rae Ashton, and Elijah Lee Morgan; siblings, Robyn Tremoni, of Arlington, Texas, Paul Byford and wife Teresa, of Dumas, Texas, and Tiffany Harendt and husband Jeremy, of Bronte, Texas; nieces and nephews, Cameron, Nova, Ryan, Christian, Sierra, Nikkole, Jorja, Ryno, Ausha, Lillian, and many others; and her father, Delbert Ray Byford.
