Velma Kelly (Barfield) Moon

Services for Velma Kelly Moon, 96, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 13, 2021, at Lacy Funeral Home with Rev. Corey Koch officiating. Burial will follow at Hico Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M.-2:00 P.M. Monday, September 13, 2021, at Lacy Funeral Home.

Velma was born in Hico, Texas on March 26, 1925, to John and Minnie (Taber) Barfield. She married Joe Kelly in 1946 in Hico, TX. He preceded her in death in 1971. She married Max Moon in 1977 and he preceded her in death in 1978.

Velma belonged to Oakdale Methodist Church. She was a seamstress for most of her life.

Velma is survived by her children, Larry and Debby Kelly, of Tuttle, Oklahoma, Roger and Charlotte Kelly, of Comanche, Texas, Kenneth and Donna Kelly, of Stephenville, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Barfield.
