Wanda Jean Benham passed away Friday, October 14th, at the age of 81. Wanda was born in Corsicana, Texas to Gussie G. Jamison and Cynthia J. (Pritchett) Jamison. She graduated from Corsicana High School in 1959 and from the University of North Texas at Denton in 1962. Wanda was a schoolteacher until she and her husband, Jim, started their family.
Wanda was a wonderful, beloved mother of three children. She was the love of Jim’s life and their marriage spanned 60 years. Wanda was active in several organizations and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Stephenville.
Wanda is survived by her husband, Jim Benham; children: Jody Blake Benham and wife Natalie Benham, Jimmie Lance Benham, Cindy Benham Kinsey and husband David Kinsey; grandchildren: Carissa Kinsey Oglesby and husband Jace Oglesby, Catherine Kinsey, Paden Benham, Hunter Benham, Gage Benham, Josie Benham, Lance Benham, Ella Benham and Luke Benham; great-grandchildren: Maxx Lanik, Chandler Lanik and Kinsey Oglesby.
Wanda courageously battled cancer for several years. We are thankful for the angel our family was blessed with, daughter-in-law Natalie Benham, who took care of Wanda in all her needs. Wanda was loved by her friends and family and will be missed by all. Wanda will be cremated without any services. There will be a celebration of life, at a later date, with family and friends.
