Willard "Pat" Edward Patterson

Willard Edward Patterson, age 89, hoping to see his wife Peggy Jim Patterson (1938-2015), passed away in his sleep, on Saturday, June 20, 2026 in Stephenville, Texas.  Pat’s family will host a visitation on Sunday, June 28th, at Lacy Funeral Home in Stephenville at 2:00 PM.  A Graveside service will be held, Monday, June 29th at Johnson’s Lawhaven Memorial Gardens in San Angelo, Texas at 2:00 PM, under the direction of Lacy Funeral Home.

Pat was born to Willard and Kathryn Patterson on April 28,1937 in Ballinger, TX.  Born to parents that survived the Great Depression and whose father fought in WWII, Pat’s passions and successes were best witnessed by his wife, Peggy and his many business partners.  He was a good father to his three boys, Lance, Keith and Randy.  Hiring the boys to work summers at his stores, Pat was their first employer, that’s how he and Peggy kept an eye on the boys.  All of them were delighted to be earning pay. 

In retirement Pat enjoyed traveling with Peggy in their RV, accompanied by their tiny 4-legged companion, Levi.  And “Date night!”, was among his greatest spoken joys, which consisted of Pat driving Peggy to many a fine restaurant, in his 1964 Thunderbird.

Pat is survived by his eldest son Lance, and wife LaRayne, Pat’s middle son Keith and his youngest son Randy; as well as two grandchildren, Andrew and Noah.  Survivors also include Les Patterson (Pat’s brother).

With heavy hearts, Pat will be missed.
