David Scott Harris,

 September 6, 1953 – June 23, 2016

Stephenville - Services for David Harris, 62, Preacher at Hillcrest Church of Christ, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Hillcrest Church of Christ in Stephenville with Tom Moore and Michael Light officiating. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.

David was born in Fort Worth, Texas on September 6, 1953 to Jesse Joe Harris and Jonnie Sue Jenkins.  He married Joy Nell Callaway on May 26, 1970, in Old Mexico.

David was a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ where he served as a Preacher for many years. He graduated from Tarleton State University.

Survivors include his wife, Joy Harris of Stephenville, Texas; mother, Sue Criswell of McKinney, Texas; three children, Jackie Harris of Houston, Texas, Brandi Tarr and husband, Robert of Lubbock, Texas, and Jesse Harris and wife, Grisel of Aubrey, Texas; six grandchildren, Abbey Tarr, Ella Tarr, Hannah Tarr, Gavin Scott Harris, Liam David Harris, and Bella Harris; siblings, Kelly Harris of Dallas, Texas, Toni Delynn Bisegger of Anchorage, Alaska, and Lissa Gay Harris of McKinney, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
