Rev David Harris has been an inspiration to me and many fellow patients here at the BMT clinic. His testimony will continue to live on as we share his book with our patients. He is the 'Paul of the New Testament' to me in that he 'fought the good fight and finished his course and was ready to meet The Lord. I thank God for the life print in left in me and all that he had encounters with her at the clinic. May God bless you with his unspeakable peace during this difficult time of loss. Sincerely, Vashti RN

To: Sue and all of David's loved ones, May the thought that other do care and the sympathy they feel be a source of consolation that is deep and real. Also may memories of happier times bring help and comfort. Our hearts are so sadden by David's passing. He was such a caring man. The West Freeway church of Christ in Fort Worth appreciated so much the lessons he brought during a Summer Series a few years back. We feel so blessed to have been able to sit at his feet as he preached God's word there in his home church and also for the comforting service he held for one of our loved ones. He will be forever in our hearts. Neil & Joy Jones

Revelation 14:13 and Psalm 116:15. David died IN the Lord. He will be greatly missed, but his life was one of success (true success), the way God defines it (Ephesians 3:21, 1 John 2:25). You're in our prayers. If you ever need anything, please let me know. Jason Rollo

We were so blessed when our daughter, Marah, went to college at Tarleton State to find a congregation like Hillcrest and a faithful, sound preacher named David Harris to help watch after her soul. We loved David for his bold preaching of the gospel and his stand for the truth and for His love and care for the souls about him. We pray that the grace of God will strengthen and comfort Nell and his family while their hearts are heavy with sorrow. We also rejoice that the crown of life he labored to obtained in his service to His King is now his forever. Our love to all.

David was such a wonderful preacher and man of God. My husband and I were blessed to hear some of his sermons and be joined as husband and wife by him. His words touched us deeply and I will forever be greatful for knowing him. Prayers of comfort to family and friends.

Dear Joy,

My condolences to you and to your family. Brother David was a good man and loved the souls of men. He was definitely a faithful soldier of Jesus Christ. I enjoyed hearing his lessons on his weekly radio program and during some of the preacher's meetings while I lived and preached in that area. I truly enjoyed reading his book "No Whining at Papa's House". I want you to know that I am praying for you, your family, and the Hillcrest congregation during this loss.

In Christian love,
Micah Dawson

Henry and I have had the short pleasure of knowing David and visiting with him, or him with us, for the last three years. His preaching and love for the Lord and his "flock" were so endearing to us and he had a fire within for all of us that could not be put out. We will always remember his fortitude and concern for each and everyone of us and his family was so very loved by him. His book was amazing to read and it showed what a true man of love for the Lord really is. Our hearts and prayers go out to all the family, Joy and the kids and Grands, cherish your memories.

Oh the memories we share! From cowboys and Indians as youngsters , to haunted house hunting in high school, to Jackie n Stacy playing in the same playpen, to coaching little league, to the foot race of all times and on and on! While memories cannot heal your pain and loss, they can soothe a broken heart! We will all miss David, his message, his smile, his love, but what an honor to have called him friend! Love to each of you! May God comfort you as only He can! David will always be in your hearts!

Precious Joy and family - my honor to be acquainted with David began only last year, but from that moment on I adored him and counted his friendship as a gospel preacher a high point in my life. His book, especially after the death of my wife from ALS, was encouraging, to say the least. May God bless you all.

My condolences to you Mrs. Harris and to your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Mr. Harris was an inspiration to me. He was so kind and thoughtful and always asked me if there was anything that he could do for me to make my stay at church easier since I'm in a wheelchair. I appreciated that and I will never forget him. Sending prayers to you and to your family that Our Lord and Savior wraps His comforting arms around you and give you peace and strength.

With Much Love,
Elma Jimenez
