I had the honor of working with him while in college at Hard 8. He was the nicest, funniest guy. Each day was always brighter if he was around. My deepest condolences to his family and all who loved him.

May the light of the Lord comfort you in the midst of this tragic loss!! Cavin made such a strong impression on every life he touched, and he will be missed by many!! I send my prayers of comfort and healing to your hearts and rest assured that his impact on heaven is even that much greater than the impact he made, just by being himself, here on earth!! Cavin, I love you my friend!! I will always remember and cherish all of the good times our crew had together, your hilarious jokes, the hard time you ALWAYS gave me, and the selfless acts of kindness that you showed to everyone you knew or had just met!! You were truly a man of integrity and determination!! You will be missed tremendously!! Keep riding high cowboy, see you again one day!!! RIP

I've known Cavin close to 30 years and count him as one of my closest friends although distance hasn't let us be together as much as I would've liked. Saw him at the benefit golf tournament in Fort Worth a few months back. It's true; you just never know when it'll be the last time to see a loved one. I don't have the words other than I know Cavin was greatly loved by many. My heart is broken but for me and you, his family, not Cavin. No more pain or demons to fight. Godspeed.
