Weatherford – Graveside services for George Hampton McCleskey, 78, utility repairman, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Hico Cemetery with Rev. Ward Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Hico Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.

George was born in Patillo, Texas on March 1, 1938 to Joseph Benson McCleskey and Eva Lee (McPherson) McCleskey.  He married Patsy Jo Medford on December 2, 1977 in Stephenville, Texas.  She preceded him in death on September 12, 1997.

He was an Army veteran and a member of the Coast Guard.

Survivors include Helen McCleskey, Cindy and Thomas D. McKay, Barry and Jana McCleskey, Vanessa and Ray Roden, Cecil Lynn and Deanne Harmon, 11 grandchildren, and his brother, Kenneth.                    

He was preceded in death by Tim Harmon, Ricky McCleskey, and James McCleskey, and brothers; Wendell, Donald, and J.B.
